THE LAST VEGAS TO SUPPORT GUNS ‘N ROSES AT HOUSE OF BLUES – ATLANTIC CITY THIS FRIDAY FEBRUARY 24TH

| Hot off the heels of a successful tour of Spain, The Last Vegas returned home to Chicago, IL on Tuesday only to learn that they would be packing up and hitting the road again to travel to Atlantic City, NJ to open for Guns ‘N Roses at the House Of Blues this Friday, February 24th. Tickets for the show can be purchased here.
The band’s year is off to a busy start with the tour of Spain and the support slot with Guns ‘N Roses in Atlantic City. The Last Vegas was embraced with open arms by their legions of new fans in Spain and a portion of the video footage that is available from that tour can be seen here. The band officially started debuting new songs live on “the Other Side Tour” in Spain and will do the same in Atlantic City. After extensive touring with some of rock’s biggest acts (Motley Crue, AC/DC, Buckcherry, New York Dolls, Papa Roach) in support of their last studio release, 2009′s Whatever Gets You Off (Eleven Seven), The Last Vegas returned to their hometown of Chicago in 2011 to record new tracks for the follow-up album with Grammy nominated producer Johnny K (Disturbed, Megadeth, 3 Doors Down, Staind, Airbourne) at Groovemaster Studios. The album is finished and the Last Vegas will be releasing their new yet-to-be titled full-length with a new label partner in 2012 and extensive touring is planned for the rest of the year. In November 2011, The Last Vegas released a preview of the upcoming full length, the “Other Side” E.P. both digitally and on a limited-edition CD. A video for the title track was produced by and stars legendary Hollywood scream-queen, Sybil Danning (Howling II, Halloween, Werewolf Women of the SS). You can view it here. SPiT LiKE THiS have signed to a brand new label, DARK LORD RECORDS (in association with SONY/ATV). Dark Lord is the brainchild of Grammy-nominated producer Chris Tsangarides (Judas Priest, Ozzy Osbourne, Thin Lizzy, Anvil) and Strawbs founder Dave Cousins.
The first release will be the long-anticipated release from SPiT LiKE THiS “Normalityville Horror” on 7th May 2012 in the UK with other territories to follow.

IRISH ROCKERS SWANEE RIVER SIGN WITH ROCKSECTOR RECORDS

Trucker Diablo’s “Drink Beer, Destroy” Debuts on ROCK BAND™ for XBox

Rob Zombie and Megadeth announce co-headlining tour running from May 11th thru May 26th
Metal heavyweights ROB ZOMBIE and MEGADETH have just announced a co-headlining tour guaranteed to raise the temperature on the planet. The trek, which marks the first time the two bands have toured together, kicks off Friday, May 11 in Holmdel, NJ and encompasses high-profile appearances at several rock festivals including M3 Rock Festival, Rock On The Range and wraps Saturday, May 26 at Rocklahoma. ROB ZOMBIE will headline Rocklahoma, co-headline Rock On The Range (with Incubus), and will close all shows on the MEGADETH dates. A complete list of dates is below.
The tour will come on the heels of MEGADETH’s critically acclaimed return of the traveling festival GIGANTOUR, created and curated by frontman DAVE MUSTAINE. Rave reviews have poured in for the festival, which also features MOTÖRHEAD, VOLBEAT and LACUNA COIL. “The return of Gigantour, a nicely curated package tour of heavy metal bands, is just one more step in a great run underway by Megadeth,” wrote the Boston Globe. “It was a smart and well-paced show, one that illuminated metal’s various angles (1/31/12).”
2011 also marked the release of MEGADETH’s 13th album, the appropriately titled Th1rt3en. Released November 1 on Roadrunner Records, the album debuted #11 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and #1 on the Billboard Hard Rock chart. The album also landed on international charts including Top 10 placements in Argentina, Finland, Korea and Japan. Cascadence Hits The Road With Faster Pussycat For Second National Tour
New Jersey’s Cascadence are set to kick off their second national tour with Sunset Strip legends Faster Pussycat. The tour kicks off March 1st in St. Petersburg, FL and will see the Freehold trio hitting the East Coast, Midwest, and wrapping up the tour on March 28th in Los Angeles.

Following their highly charged debut music video for recent single Jekyll and Hyde, SIX HOUR SUNDOWN now take us behind the scenes at their rehearsal studios. This new promo video is for a track taken from their hotly anticipated album called ‘Shadow of my Past‘.
The band are currently in USA where they are promoting their single JEKYLL & HYDE and generally flying the flag for British Hard Rock. Their own take on the genre is a blend of edgy, guitar driven catchy riffs, with huge hooks, topped off with powerful yet soulful vocals, the kind of music that would find itself at home on most of our playlists! DOWNSPIRIT to Enter Studio in Mid-March
DOWNSPIRIT, the German/Swiss bluesy/hard-rocking-metal-oriented band formed by ex-SYMPHORCE/ex-FREEDOM CALL guitarist Cedric “Cede” Dupont, will enter the studios in mid-march to record their second album. A release is expected for late summer via Metalville Records, followed by a tour in fall/winter.
DOWNSPIRIT’s debut album, ”Point Of Origin”, was received well with much positive feedback all over the world, and brought the band’s touring schedule to include more than 60 shows around Europe.
The band states on their official facebook site: “We can’t wait to let you hear what our second album will sound like. Being on the road a lot and having so much fun together as a band certainly made it’s inspiration to the songwriting process. We’re gonna have a lot of killer tunes on that album, that’s for sure!! A bull horn blasts its opening line salvo from the title track of the new solo debut release by Northern California’s, Derek Davis. Former singer/songwriter of Arista Recording Artists, Babylon A.D., the first rock/metal band personally signed by the legendary music mogul, Clive Davis.
The hard rock, retro/metal mind blower of eleven tracks captures an angst ridden, sometimes dark, and yet poetic true to life world in which most of us can now relate. (Did someone say perfect timing?) But this is not your typical metal rock formula release.
From the opening tracks revolution call of (Re-Volt), to the second song (Bad Man Cometh) an up-tempo motion picture style soundtrack with …“surprise! A rapid-fire rap delivered by guest artist, Monte Carlo.
The third track, a bombastic guitar driven slow grinder called (Tied Down and Hammered) “you kick me with your steel toed boot – you hit me with your iron fist.” You just might think you have the man and the sound all figured out. Then suddenly out of the blue comes, (Troubadour). A beautifully crafted acoustic song with a surreal story of new found love and hope, with the Spanish style guitar playing and glass-like strings adding depth and emotion to the songs moving lyrical content.
The battle cry of (American Jihad) follows with a funkafied bass line driven by a menacing vocal attack, with Derek delivering every line with bullet like precision.
(Hollywood Heartbreak) is a solid up-tempo rocker with a “Born to Run” like theme. On track seven’ Derek really breaks out the production with (The Promise) a heart breaking paradoxical death bed love story. The music is spacious and mystical, with clean roto-verb type guitar sounds, a strange rhythmic drum beat and a haunting vocal.
It is also the first single from the record! Up next are (Judas Kiss), where Derek cranks out a brutal tale of betrayal and revenge. (I love U 2 Death) dark and vampirish, (Love Star) a temptation driven, sexy groover. And the final track (Desperate). It is a great big luscious ballad. A wall of sound and orchestration, with the arrangement and lyrical content perfectly weaving a sad tale of loneliness and isolation, “Everybody’s desperate just like you.” This song has massive hit appeal written all over it.
Derek Davis has brought together an eclectic mix of songs. “It’s not the Beatles White album, but I feel I have had the freedom of expression to write and produce music the way I have always wanted, something you usually can’t do with the restrictions of a major label,” says Derek.
Lyrically, and musically painting a moving picture landscape. Derek has created a true modern anthem rock album, with a wild and twisted roller coaster ride of emotions for its listeners.
The vocals, melodies, musicianship and production are excellent and the execution and arrangements all fit together nicely.
Vocally, Derek’s style is high-octane grit, full of electric energy, different enough to push beyond the modern day Daughtry clones and provide the material with the exact right combination of power and attitude.
